Due to a recent surge in submissions, The Craig’s Main Gallery is fully booked until May 2026 and is temporarily pausing submissions. While we are thrilled about this high demand and how it reflects the vibrant artistic community that surrounds us, we recognize the challenges excessive timelines pose for both logistical considerations and the ability of artists to plan their exhibits effectively.

We believe this temporary pause on submissions for the Main Gallery is necessary to ensure a fair and manageable process for both the gallery and the artists involved. Rest assured, we are committed to resuming Main Gallery submissions, and when the time comes, we will make a formal announcement.

In the meantime, we want to emphasize that our commitment to supporting the arts remains unwavering. The Case Gallery at The Craig offers a more accessible and flexible space, particularly for emerging artists. As such, we will continue to accept submissions for the Case Galleries on a rolling basis. This decision allows us to maintain an inclusive platform for artists to showcase their work while navigating the current demands on our Main Gallery.

The larger case is 68″h x 36″d x 80″w and the new smaller case is 68″h x 36″d x 40″w.

Please include the following elements as 1 COMPLETE PDF DOCUMENT LABELLED WITH ARTIST’S NAME no larger than 10mb in total:
• A brief description of the proposed concept
• Current artist CV with contact information
• Up to 10 digital images of recent work which is relevant to application, with accompanying image credit list detailing artist’s name, titles, dates, medium and
dimensions of each work
• Any additional relevant material such as publications and critical reviews in
• Total submission should not exceed 10MB. Larger files will not be accepted.

In the event that the proposed artworks have not yet been produced, please provide a detailed description of the intent in addition to support material featuring past work.

The Craig Gallery is not responsible for lost or damaged submissions. Please do not submit original slides, artwork or master DVDs.

It is the mission of The Craig Gallery at Alderney Landing Community Cultural Centre to increase awareness and understanding of contemporary visual arts within the community through exhibitions, lectures and symposia, public programs, publications, and adherence to standard museum practices. The Craig seeks to present and facilitate the widest possible range of art practices and to reflect excellence and cultural diversity through all aspects of its programs.

The Craig Gallery’s exhibition program accepts proposals on an ongoing basis from professional and emerging artists and curators. The exhibitions are booked approximately two years in advance.
