Kahn (Chongyin) Yuan is from Shanghai, China and graduated from NSCAD’s MFA program in Fine and Media Arts in 2020. He was a teaching assistant at NSCAD, staging his solo show “Greeting the Unseeable” at Anna Leonowens Gallery Halifax, participating in many group shows in Canada and was awarded with the 2019 Curtlands Foundation Prize, Montreal. Besides, he was also selected to attend the 15th International Painting Symposium “Mark Rothko 2019” in Latvia as an artist in residence. Previously, he has earned a BA and MA in Painting and Study of Fine Arts from Shanghai University and was a resident artist at the Swatch Art Peace Hotel in Shanghai 2018.
