The Ferry leaves from Alderney Landing for the return trip to Halifax, 15 minutes after each of the times listed above.

The ferry gives one of the best views of both sides of the harbour.

The Ferry is operated by Metro Transit, which also maintains an excellent informational web site. In most weather it takes only 12 minutes to cross Halifax Harbour, and provides easily the cheapest and one of the best harbour rides in the city.

With Metro Transit transfers, bus rides connecting to the ferry are considered part of only one fare.
