The Craig Gallery - Proposal Guidelines
It is the mission of The Craig Gallery at Alderney Landing Community Cultural Centre to increase awareness and understanding of contemporary visual arts within the community through exhibitions, lectures and symposia, public programs, publications, and adherence to standard museum practices. The Craig seeks to present and facilitate the widest possible range of art practices and to reflect excellence and cultural diversity through all aspects of its programs.
The Craig Gallery’s exhibition program accepts proposals on an ongoing basis from professional and emerging artists and curators. The exhibitions are booked approximately two years in advance.
Here are the Submission Guidelines:
- Current artist CV in PDF format
- Up to 10 digital images of recent work, with accompanying image credit list detailing artist’s name, titles, dates, medium and dimensions of each work; files must be clearly labeled with title and artist’s name, file size must not exceed 10megs, be 300 dpi and must be in jpeg format.
- A brief description of the proposed concept in PDF format
Any additional relevant material such as publications and critical reviews in PDF format
- A self-addressed, stamped envelope if you would like your materials returned
Please ensure all files are labeled with title and artist’s name
In the event that the proposed artworks have not yet been produced, please provide a detailed description of the intent in addition to support material featuring past work.
The Craig Gallery is not responsible for lost or damaged submissions. Please do not submit original slides, artwork or master DVDs. If you want to have your support materials returned, you must include a self-addressed envelope with the required postage. Please remember to contact the gallery if you have a change of address and/or telephone number.
