This exhibition speaks to where painters draw their inspiration from and where they come from, be it the landscape that resonates or the homes that cultivated their creativity or the people who have found their heart's desire in place. It also refers to viewpoint, and how each of these artists sees the world in a distinct, individual way and how it is represented in their work.

Dartmouth Visual Arts Society is a relatively young organization formed in 1987 by local artists to support and promote the visual arts in the community. The diverse needs of the membership have been addressed through a dynamic program of workshops, exhibitions, newsletters and meetings. Workshops are held monthly, from September through June, with the exception of December.
